Matthew Mpoke Bigg worked for Reuters for more than two decades as a foreign correspondent, bureau chief, television producer and editor. In 2012, he was co-winner of a Loeb Prize, the most prestigious award for business reporting in the United States. In all, he reported from more than 35 countries, mainly in Africa but also in the United States and Indonesia. Since 2019, he has worked for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, as Europe Editor.
Ros Russell is a journalist and editor with 25 years of international experience. She has worked as a foreign correspondent for Reuters and The Independent in East Africa, the Middle East and Asia. She is an experienced editor of political, financial and humanitarian news and reports, having worked on the global desks of Reuters and the Thomson Reuters Foundation in London. She is the author of a book on Myanmar and an experienced journalism trainer.

Goats are central to Maasai culture and economics and young goats are a symbol of life and hope.
